We'll stop at Eaton Canyon Falls first, then climb up the switchback trail to Henninger Flats.
Pack 2 liters of water, snacks and a lunch to enjoy in the spectacular picnic area in what was once the largest nursery of forest trees in the world.
You can park at the nature center for a fee, or on Altadena Ave. for free and walk into the center.
Dogs allowed on leash.
