Length: 21 Miles • 6600' gain
June 24-26, 2023
What was originally supposed to be a climb up Cloudripper pivoted to Olancha Peak due to our crazy snow year in the Sierras! We had a blast getting over massive snow banks, taking in the views, and gaining 1700' in .7 miles in the last class 3 scramble push to the summit. We were constantly putting on and taking off our crampons, and one of us may or may not have ripped their pants (oops). Once we reached the top, we had incredible views over the valley leading up to views of Mt. Langley and Mt. Whitney!
It was a quick trip, but one that will not be forgotten!
